I’ll be honest with you, friend. I did not walk into Dollar Tree planning to fall in love with the beauty aisle two years ago. All thanks to some awesome TikTokers who shared the amazing beauty finds.
I went in for Fourth of July decor and craft supplies , and I walked out with a basket full of body serum, jelly eye masks, and three different things that smell like salted caramel.
But here’s the thing about frugal living that I’ve learned over the years out here on our little homestead: taking care of yourself doesn’t have to mean a fancy budget. Some of my very favorite everyday personal care products right now cost me exactly $1.25 each. That’s it. And a few of them genuinely rival stuff I used to pay ten times as much for.
And it’s not because I HAVE to shop at Dollar Tree, it’s because I want to. Why would I pay $40 for a bottle of Retinol when I like the one here for $1.25?!
I know most of you will have a good idea of what brands these are dupes for without me even saying it!
(Quick heads up: Dollar Tree stock is wildly store-to-store and here-today-gone-tomorrow, so if you spot one of these, grab it. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way more than once.)
Skincare That Punches Way Above $1.25

Global Beauty Care Retinol Renewing Double Serum
This one surprised me the most. It’s a retinol serum with peptides, packaged in a 1.7 fl oz dropper bottle, that promises to refine skin tone and texture. For a buck twenty-five, I went in with zero expectations and came away genuinely impressed.
A couple of drops at night, patted into clean skin, and it sinks in without that sticky film some serums leave. If you’ve been retinol-curious but didn’t want to gamble $30 to find out if your skin likes it, this is the lowest-stakes way I know to try it.

Skincare Caffeine De-Puffing Jelly Eye Masks
Fifteen pairs of jelly under-eye masks in one little box. Caffeine, tranexamic acid, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid are the star ingredients, and the caffeine is the part that earns its keep.
On the mornings after I’ve been up late with a broody hen or just plain didn’t sleep, I pop a pair in the fridge for a few minutes, then sit with them on while my coffee brews. That cold jelly against tired eyes is the closest thing to a spa day you’ll get for pennies a pair.
Body Care I’m A Little Obsessed With

Orchid Hydrate Body Serum
A big cheerful yellow pump bottle, 200 ml (6.76 oz) of “hydrate and smooth” body serum. Body serums are having a real moment right now, and paying $1.25 to hop on the trend instead of $18 feels like a small win. It layers beautifully under lotion or wears light on its own in warmer weather.

XtraCare Hydro Plus Body Cream Gel
This 12 oz pump of body cream gel with hyaluronic acid is my current everyday workhorse. That gel-cream texture is exactly what my skin wants after a shower, especially heading into our dry Western New York months when the furnace kicks on and everything gets thirsty. It’s labeled for normal to dry skin and it sinks in fast, so no waiting around before you get dressed.

Pro Silk 24 HR Moisturizing Body Lotion in Creamy Cashmere
Twelve full ounces of soothing body lotion made with nourishing oils and butters, in the coziest “creamy cashmere” scent. This is my keep-it-by-the-bed lotion. It’s rich without being greasy, and the scent is soft and warm rather than perfume-y, which I appreciate when I’m winding down for the night.

Spa Scentials Sunkissed Caramel Hydrating Body Perfume Oil
Okay, this is the one I keep sniffing my own wrist over. A body perfume oil in pistachio, caramel, and vanilla, described as “warm + sweet,” and let me tell you, it delivers. It’s hydrating and it smells like a bakery in the best possible way. If you love those cozy gourmand scents, this 3.2 oz bottle is a steal.

Spa Luxury Limited Edition Hand Cream Duo (Brazilian Flora + Brazilian Sol)
A little two-pack of travel-size hand creams, one in Brazilian Flora (dragonfruit and lychee) and one in Brazilian Sol (pistachio and caramel). I keep one in my bag and one by the kitchen sink, because if you’ve got chickens and a garden and a dish routine as I do, your hands take a beating. These are the perfect toss-in-your-purse size for a quick refresh.

Lips
b.pure Vanilla Lotus Bloom Lip Balm (2-Pack)
Two little floral-jar lip balms in vanilla lotus bloom, and the packaging alone is prettier than it has any right to be at this price. Point twenty-five ounces each, so you get a good amount, and the vanilla scent is gentle. One for the nightstand, one for the coat pocket, and I never find myself without balm mid-January.
Hair, From Roots To Ends

Power Stick for Her Brazilian Mist Leave-In Conditioner
A leave-in conditioner in Brazilian Mist (pistachio and salted caramel) that’s cruelty-free, dye-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and vegan. That’s a lot of “free” for $1.25. I spritz it on damp hair before I brush, and it makes detangling so much easier while leaving behind that warm caramel scent. If you’re wondering, yes, there’s a whole Brazilian scent theme happening at Dollar Tree right now, and I am fully on board.

b.pure Flyaway Styling Cream
A little pink tube of smoothing styling cream for taming flyaways. On humid summer mornings when my hair has opinions, a pea-sized amount smoothed over the top does the trick without making anything crunchy or stiff.

b.pure Hair Serum for Dry, Damaged Hair
A 2 fl oz hair serum with argan oil, coconut oil, and vitamin B5 that smooths dry, damaged ends. A couple pumps on towel-dried hair and it looks a whole lot healthier by the time it’s dry. A great, cheap way to baby your ends between trims.

Hairitage by Mindy McKnight Root Revival Root Touch Up
I did a genuine double take seeing a Hairitage root touch-up spray here, since that’s a name-brand line. This one’s in medium brown, quick-dry and temporary, and it’s sulfate, phthalate, paraben, silicone, gluten, and mineral-oil free, plus color safe and vegan. If you stretch time between color appointments like I do to save money, a $1.25 root touch-up between visits is a frugal little miracle.
Deodorant

Power Stick for Her Island Crush Aluminum-Free Deodorant
A limited edition aluminum-free deodorant in Island Crush with notes of pink dragon fruit, hibiscus, and sheer vanilla. If you’ve been trying to move to aluminum-free without paying boutique prices, this is an easy, breezy way to test one out. The scent is bright and tropical, perfect for summer.

Amber Glow Golden Amber Deodorant
This one looks downright expensive sitting on my counter, all clean and minimalist in that little cream tube. Golden amber scent, 1.76 oz, and it feels like a splurge deodorant for pocket change. Sometimes packaging really does spark joy, and this one does it for a dollar twenty-five.
Bonus: The Scent Twins in the Cleaning Aisle

Homebright Brazilian Sol Multi-Surface Cleaning Wipes
Not personal care, I know, but I couldn’t help myself. Since I fell for the Brazilian Sol hand cream and Brazilian Mist leave-in, imagine my delight finding Brazilian Sol multi-surface cleaning wipes to match. Thirty wipes for around $1.50, and now my kitchen counters smell like my hands. If you love a cohesive scent situation around the house, this is a fun little tie-in.
My Honest Take
Here’s what I love about a haul like this: it’s permission to treat yourself a little without one bit of guilt. For less than the cost of a single fancy serum, I filled a basket with a retinol serum, jelly eye masks, three body moisturizers, a caramel perfume oil, hair care from roots to ends, two deodorants, and a lip balm two-pack. That’s real self-care on a real budget, which is exactly the kind of frugal living I believe in.
If you go hunting for these, remember Dollar Tree stock changes constantly, so what my store carries might look a little different from yours. But the beauty aisle is absolutely worth a slow walk-through next time you’re in.
Which one are you adding to your basket first? I’d genuinely love to know, because I’m already planning my next trip.
Happy treasure hunting, friends.
