This Week’s $60 Grocery Trip & Meal Menu

I didn’t feel like couponing this week and needed to grab a few pantry items. I go between Aldi, Tops, and BJ’s when grocery shopping. I do manage to squeeze Costco and Sam’s in because they can have some fantastic deals as well- but I shop there primarily for work.

I’ve been doing super cheap grocery budgets since we started our debt-free journey over ten years ago. Today we are 100% debt-free and paid off our mortgage in 2020!

This week, I went to Aldi, Tops and got one item at Walmart- strawberry cream cheese.

My goal is to post weekly on Tiktok- so if you aren’t following me over there, here’s my profile.

The Tiktok Video of this haul is at the end of the post.

Even if you think that couponing takes a ton of time, it doesn’t with the cashback apps and printable coupons. So the question to ask yourself is, do you have the time to make a grocery list or the money to buy whatever looks good and wing it?

MY MEAL MENU THIS WEEK:

Breakfast: Eggs, Cereal, Bagels

Lunch: Leftovers, Tuna, Kids get Free lunch at school

Dinner:

  • Sloppy Does( venison meat) raw carrots as a side
  • Veggie Stew with Biscuits ( I’ll make those homemade)
  • Castle Rock Chicken
  • Homemade pizza ( so cheap)
  • BBQ Chicken breasts with Homemade Mac & Cheese
  • Five Veggie Casserole
  • Leftovers

Where is the meat? We raise our chicken’s lambs and have venison. When I started our debt-free journey, my grocery budget of $60 a week included meat too because we only had venison at that point. It can be done- careful planning.
