It’s Friday. Friday already. The time change, this cold, moving, selling our house, the blogs are …kicking my butt. To be completely honest I am exhausted. When you are exhausted couponing is harder.
But living within your means should always be second nature. I have my cheap genes to thank for that.
Yet if you are a couponer or someone who plans out ALL their grocery trips sometimes it feels so liberating to go to the grocery store and just buy what you need.
I sort of did that this week. Now that our income has increased a tad we have that margin for our grocery budget. And when you have a lot going on in life, you are so very thankful for a margin. A lot of these items I am using next week! I will do the post on Monday like normal. I hope… 🙂
Every week I make it a goal to plan my meals for the week, shop from my pantry first and then buy the best priced items for the week. It’s a challenge one I hope you will join in on! My husband is a hunter so we use venison meat for a lot of dishes.
Ps. Batavias Best Bargains was my former site.
Here is a more recent one on how I spent $10 on Groceries.
Check out my most recent video on how I”m still spending $45 a week for groceries in the summer of 2019!Â

If you are not couponing and watching the sales you are probably spending way too much on your grocery bill. You can also cut the cost down by baking your own sweet treats, and breads. My favorite tip we did when we started a debt free journey and to eat better was cutting out frozen pizza.
It is so cheap to buy your own ingredients to make pizza dough and without all the added grease. Try creating your own pizza once a week. Get creative with the toppings.
