I thought instead of posting my cheap grocery shopping trips and meal menus I would post my clearance hauls. I swear by shopping for new things on clearance only. Join me for this new weekly series and you’ll be finding the best clearance deals this week.
Of course I had, maybe still have a slight addiction to it. I’ve had to learn how to walk away from something on clearance no matter how cheap it is, if I won’t use it.
Yes you can donate these items, as long as you actually do.
Last week we started our bedroom makeover. It’s a two toned green and had yellow stained ceiling tiles. The drawers on the side of the bed are broken, and we are tired of bending down so low for our clothes.
After four years in this farmhouse we decided to make it a winter project.
I have shared a couple pictures of it on Facebook here.
My favorite find was at Home Depot. I’m on my fifth batch of sample paint. I wanted to stick with my favorite color ever ( Revere Pewter- Benjamin Moore), but my husband is a little sick of it. I can tell. 🙂
I wanted a dark wall as the accent and a light grey for the rest. I’m just not finding the perfect one.
While waiting for those paint samples I went over to the curtain rods. I found a deal at BJs on curtains. For me if I can get most things at BJs its best for our budget. My blog kinda pays me to shop there. Not this blog, my BJs Blog.
I originally wanted to go with some type of bamboo roman shades, but a deal is a deal for me. You can see the ones we have in our living room here.

The curtain Rods were marked down to $13 and in Revere Pewter! The original price was somewhere around $22.
I had to go across the street to Target to price compare. It took me a total of 30 seconds at Target to head back to Home Depot and snatch these up.
The next thing I couldn’t pass up. When I have a super clearance price AND I can use a coupon- it’s my ultimate high.
I spotted this at our local BJ’s and it’s down to $4.98! What a steal for protein powder right? BUT I used a BJ’s coupon making it $2.98. You can see the breakdown and even get it online here.
It’s pretty good. A nice light and sweet taste. I’ve been mixing it with milk in my Contigo shaker but I think it would be even better in a smoothie.
I got two sets of towels, wash cloths and hand towels at BJs for $4.94! What a deal. They are the Cotton brand. I needed a smaller towel that wasn’t so thick for my daughter. She’s starting swimming at school.
You can see more details on the towel clearance here.
One thing I didn’t expect to get on clearance this week was makeup at Target. Tons of different brands are 70% off.
The best part? Coupons and Cartwheel no Circle. Plus I used my Target Debit card which gets me an extra 5% off. You can sign up for one online here.
The Physicians Formula Powder showed 50% off but rang up at 70%. I was able to use the $3.00/1 printable CoverGirl coupon here for the Covergirl Chocolate Scented Eye Shawdow.
It was marked down to $4.98 after coupon I paid $1.98!
MORE COVERGIRL COUPONS TO PRINT:
The Lipgloss for Physicans Formula was $2.06. Originally $6.89. The Loreal Paris Lip Gloss was $2.38. Original price $7.99
I got Eld in the T-Zone Bubble Mask for $2 something. I tried ripping the stickers off this morning. Not thinking I would do a post. I am bummed the stickers are so big and so hard to peel off.
Anyways it was a GREAT haul. There is a 10% off on item at Target in your Circle account to.
It made for a fun and sweet deal on makeup at Target this week.
